FREE Grassroots Football Certificate Course

May 25th, 2016

A FREE Grassroots Football Certificate Course has been organised to be held in Alstonville on Sunday 5th June. The full details for the course are;

Grassroots Certificate
Venue: Alstonville Football Club – Geoff Watt Oval, Deegan Drive, Alstonville
Date: Sunday 5th June, 2016
Time: 9.00am – 12.00pm

This course is FREE, and completed within 3 hours.

The course is ideal for coaches of MiniRoos players aged 5 – 9 years.

This course is for coaches or parents with little to no experience and who are coaching children between the ages of 5 – 9 years old. Note however that this course is still suitable for “first time” coaches working with players between the ages of 10 – 11, and can form a good basis before attending the Skill Training Certificate.

This course is also ideal for parents who are not yet coaching and would simply like to gain a greater understanding of the concepts and practices of grassroots football to better support their kids.

It is a practical session where parents and coaches are involved in activities, as we set up and demonstrate sample training activities suitable for this age group. We look at how to make training fun and enjoyable for kids, and how to set up an environment where kids will best learn the game.

We answer any questions that coaches might have, and discuss the important philosophies and principles behind grassroots football.
