AGM, Clubs Forum and Annual Match Officials Seminar

February 13th, 2018

FFNC held its Annual General Meeting in Ballina on the weekend, followed by the Annual Clubs Forum.

David Eland from Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) was in attendance and provided clubs with an overview of NNSWF operational activities over the past year and proposed initiatives for 2018. A range of items were also discussed, specific to the upcoming season. We thank all club delegates who attended and advise that the NNSWF presentation from Sunday can be found by clicking here.

Also on the weekend, a separate event was convened for local match officials in Goonellabah on Sunday, with approximately 50 match officials attending the Annual FFNC Match Officials Seminar.

Ted Kearney, one of the State Referee Coaches at Football Queensland, was this year’s keynote speaker. Ted brought a wealth of experience to the event, having worked closely with A-League, W-League and FIFA match officials and assessors over many years. As well as Ted’s presentations, match officials were provided with information on law changes for the upcoming season, as well as further important information to help them prepare for season 2018.

We remind everyone that a Level 4 NEW Referees Course is being held on Sunday 25th February (9:30am – approx. 4:30pm). Anyone interested in becoming a referee should click here for more information (and for a link to register) or contact referees@ffnc.net.au or 0434856992 for further enquiries.
