rebel Female Football Week Local Activities

rebel Female Football Week kicks-off on Friday 2nd of March and runs through until Saturday the 10th of March.

There are various events across the Football Far North Coast zone. Information is included below.

DUNOON
Dunoon United FC will be holding a female muster day.

Date: Sunday 4 March
Venue: Balzer Park, Dunoon

4pm – 5pm: Skills sessions for girls aged 5 – 11
5.15pm – 6.30pm: Skills training and small sided games for female footballer players aged 12 and up (including senior players)

The club is a very strong supporter of female football and had over 40% female participation in 2017. New players are always welcome.

MULLUMBIMBY
Female Football Gala Day (free event)

Date: Sunday 4th March
Venue: Mullumbimby Leagues Club ground, 25 Manns Road Mullumbimby

A fun day of female football for ALL ages. Social games, activities and prizes. Raffle for a jersey SIGNED by Emily van Egmond. FREE giveaways of Female Football Week shirts and drinks bottles for participants.

CASINO SCHOOL VISITS – Friday 9 March

Casino High School – 10am – 10.30am
15 minute: My Story + Q&A with Tara Andrews and Cortnee Vine
15 minute: Photos & signing session

Catholic Primary School St Mary’s – 12:45pm -1:45pm
5 minute: Welcome + Q&A
20 minute: small-sided games
15 minute: photos and signing

SOUTHERN CROSS FOOTBALL CENTRE
Date: Friday 9th March
Time: 5.30pm-6.30pm

Autograph session where you can meet Newcastle Jets W-League players, Cortnee Vine & Tara Andrews (a poster will be provided for autographs). Miniroos football games will be played, with Jets players also getting involved to have a kick around with the girls.

SKENNARS HEAD
Date: Saturday 10 March 2018
Venue: Skennars Head Road, Skennars Head.
Time: 9am to 11am

PLEASE NOTE that this event is now fully prescribed.

Each participant will receive a rebel Female Football Week shirt and drink bottle.

This festival offers opportunities for young girls to engage in an additional skill development session to improve their confidence and coordination, and will include fun football games. It is an opportunity to engage and celebrate with other enthusiastic girls, and a chance for girls aged 4 to 11 to experience football before the 2018 season starts.
