30 June Deadline to Register for Season 2021

June 21st, 2021

FFNC wishes to highlight the deadline of 30 June for any person to register in ANY role (whether as a player, team official or volunteer) for season 2021. Requests lodged beyond Wednesday 30 June (i.e. recorded in PlayFootball beyond 30 June) will be declined.

NEW registrations for PLAYERS continue to trickle in, so anyone wanting to register to participate for the balance of season 2021, need to get organised quickly. Note also that every new player registered must be nominated by the respective club to FFNC so the player is added to relevant squad list based on the disclosed timelines. The LAST opportunity for a player to have an eligible ACTIVE registration (as at midnight 30 June) and to be added to the relevant squad list will therefore be 1pm Thursday 1st July.

NEW registrations for a person who wants to be a COACH or a TEAM OFFICIAL, will also close on 30 June. The number of registered coaches and team officials this season is very encouraging, however it is clear that MANY people who are acting in one of these roles (including MINIROOS teams) have not yet registered in PlayFootball. There will be no opportunity for a person to seek registration as a team official beyond 30 June, including circumstances where such a request is made because a team qualifies for a finals series match. FFNC again makes it known that any instances identified of a person acting in a role of team official is deemed to be an ineligible participant. If this situation is identified in a competition (i.e. Grade 12 to senior), penalties apply.

NEW registrations for a person who may act in the role of a VOLUNTEER (e.g. Duty Officer) will also close on 30 June.

The deadline of 30 June has historically been mandated by Northern NSW Football to apply in each zone. The only variation from this date was last year, as a consequence of the impact of covid-19 that saw a necessary change to many components of season activity.
