Season 2023 will officially come to a close when the final round of the Tursa Employment & Training Summer Youth League fixtures are played on Friday evening 15th December.
As we reflect with much pride on a successful season, that saw an extraordinary collective response across the community, beyond three seasons of dire circumstances, including the impact of a global pandemic and flooding that caused substantial devastation, we now look ahead to season 2024 with renewed enthusiasm.
The first key date for most will be 1st February 2024, when registrations will officially open for all participants* (*subject to clubs submitting player levies and registration details to Football Far North Coast ). Whether your role will be as one (or more) as a player, coach/team official, volunteer or match official, your contribution is welcomed. Registrations will again be made online, by using the system known as PlayFootball and any initial enquiries about being involved at a club level, should be directed to one of the anticipated 24 member clubs (refer contact details on the FFNC website)
The call again goes out for individuals who are aged at least 14 years, to become qualified as a match official (i.e. Referee), as the game always needs more match officials. We encourage enquiries to FFNC about how to become accredited as a match official. Expressions of Interest can be submitted here.
The NSW State Government has wound back the Active Kids Voucher incentive that was introduced in 2017 and it will now be known as the Active and Creative Kids Voucher program. These will be available to claim and redeem (for eligible applicants and where approved providers exist), to subsidise the cost of registration levies. More information about applying for and redeeming a voucher can be found here.
THANKS again to everyone who contributes to community football and on behalf of Football Far North Coast, we wish everyone a safe and restful Festive Season.
