Newcastle Permanent Community Awards Return for Season 2016

April 4th, 2016

Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) and FFNC are pleased to announce that the Newcastle Permanent Community Coach Recognition Program will continue in 2016.

The Newcastle Permanent Community Coach of the Month Award will apply for each month (March to August inclusive) and be awarded to a coach who makes a significant contribution to their team, club and/or community. There is no focus on results or winning, but the award is intended to identify individual coaches who create a positive participation experience for players.

Each month, ONE registered coach from each of NNSWF’s seven Member Zones will be named the Newcastle Permanent Community Coach of the Month. Each winner will receive a Newcastle Permanent Community Coaching kit consisting of 6 (age appropriate size) soccer balls, 20 markers, 10 bibs, a whistle and a polo shirt and cap. Their contribution to football will also be recognised on the NNSWF website network (including respective zones) and various social media platforms.

Each Zone will subsequently nominate ONE community coach to represent their Zone for the opportunity to be named “Newcastle Permanent Community Coach of the Year”. This announcement will be made at the NNSWF annual awards night in October. This winner will receive an award plus a $250 First Touch Gift Voucher, however ALL coaches nominated and recognised through 2016 can be equally proud of their contribution to our game..

Coaches can be nominated for any number of reasons:

  • Provides a safe & enjoyable experience for their players & parents.
  • Positive engagement in all aspects of the club and not just the one team that they may coach.
  • Provides an opportunity for a disabled player to be part of their team
  • Provides strong leadership & dedication to the game, players and club.
  • High work ethic.
  • Encourages fair play.
  • Displays and encourages respect towards match officials.
