All six FINALS were decided last weekend as Football Far North Coast celebrated the conclusion to the historically prestigious Anzac Day Cup and Callan McMillan Memorial Shield competitions.
HUGE crowds attended the various finals, which were played at locations across the region. The wet conditions during the past week caused some issues, but the co-operation of stakeholders, including member clubs, football proceeded, despite a change of scheduling required in several cases.
Congratulations to ALL teams that made it to a final and while players and those associated with the winning teams were more satisfied with the results, it was clear that everyone was motivated by the opportunity to participate in a big match. Appreciation and thanks is extended to the match officials who officiated. It was magnificent to have so many of our wonderful group of female and male match officials involved.
Thanks again to Tursa Employment and Training for the stellar commitment to local football and to the community more broadly.
