After ongoing negotiations with LCC, we now have written confirmation of the availability of Oakes Oval for the dates listed above, with the exception of Sunday 31 August, which remains to be confirmed pending whether two senior teams in the Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League (NRRRL) competition become mathematically unable to host finals, based on their ladder positions.
As advised several weeks back, a modified finals series will proceed this season, with the same format to apply in all junior competitions and senior leagues, being semi-finals (Team 1 v Team 4 and Team 2 v Team 3), followed by the winner of each semi-final to contest the Newcastle Permanent Grand Finals Series in respective competitions.
A broad plan for the applicable schedule relevant to bringing each pointscore competition to a conclusion can be found here, which also references the proposed weekends for semi-finals and grand finals in each competition.
