ANZAC Day Cup & Callan McMillan Competitions set to Kick-off in 2021

The 2021 Tursa Employment & Training ANZAC Day Cup & Callan McMillan competitions will officially kick-off season 2021 this Friday 26th February and Sunday 28th February.

Fifty-six teams across six senior competitions will take to the field in the 2021 edition of the popular pre-season competitions that takes place over the weekends of 26th/28th February, 5th/7th March, and 12th/14th March.

The ANZAC Day Cup Premier League is set to be tightly contested with six of the eight sides entering the new season with new coaches.  South Lismore FC travel to Maclean FC on Friday night where the Bobcats will be looking to start the season on a high following a disappointing 2020 campaign.  Lismore Thistles SC enter the new season hungry to return to finals football and with new coach, Chris Layland at the helm, will host an eager Bangalow SC outfit.  Sunday action will see a re-match of the 2020 ANZAC Day Cup Final when Goonellabah FC play host to Alstonville FC at Weston Park.  In the other Sunday clash, Lismore Richmond Rovers FC will travel to Byron Bay FC

In the Callan McMillan Memorial Shield ‘A’ Division competition, last season’s winner Alstonville FC meet newcomers South Lismore FC at Caniaba Street Field on Friday night, whilst Goonellabah FC host Byron Bay FC.  Sunday action sees two of the strongest women’s sides of the last few years look to claim early bragging rights when Lennox Head FC host Lismore Thistles SC at Skennars Head Field.
