Philippa Jacka from Bangalow Soccer Club was announced as the FFNC Women’s Premier League Player of the Year and Patrick Kable from South Lismore Football Club was announced as the FFNC Men’s Premier League Player of the Year, at the recent Senior Awards Evening convened at the Lismore Workers Club.

Seventeen year old Jacka, who returned to this region this year after several seasons playing in the South East QLD league, was a runaway winner after votes were tallied. The Bluedogs striker regularly polled either 3, 2 or 1 votes from match officials and she scored 7 goals and was a consistent performer in 2024.

Veteran South Lismore FC midfielder Patrick Kable picked up his third Player of the Year award, having previously been the best local male player in 2019 and 2022. Kable again showed his tenacity and experience as the Celtics, proved to be a force this season, but falling agonisingly short of a grand final appearance, when they bowed out in a gripping semi-final penalty shoot-out against Goonellabah FC.

Jacka and Kable were of course named in the respective Premier Team of the Year, with the players listed below also recognised.
