Northern NSW Football Technical Director Michael Browne recently travelled to Bangalow this week to deliver a Newcastle Permanent Master Class to community coaches on the Far North Coast.
Hosted by Bangalow Soccer Club, coaches on the evening received valuable information and tips from observing a session featuring Bangalow’s Senior Squad.
Bangalow SC coach Neil Fuller took the opportunity to coordinate the event and said the benefit of having Michael there not only at the club but opening the opportunity for other coaches was really valuable.
“The benefit of having Michael there to physically give instructions to coaches within the area for a Senior Squad was fantastic to have,” Fuller said.
Browne was appreciative of the positive response from coaches that attended on the evening and hoped that it will benefit more in the future once Master Classes are organised during the year in other zones.
“Although you are able to easily research coaching tips and be sent them, the best way to learn the tips and tricks is having that physical interaction.”
“It is always useful to observe other coaches working and thankfully it is available for coaches free of charge due to the support of our Community Partner, Newcastle Permanent,” Browne concluded.
The Newcastle Permanent Master Class program will continue across Northern NSW in the months ahead with programs to be scheduled at a later date.
