Football Far North Coast recognises the senior teams that were issued with the least Yellow and Red Cards during the pointscore season.
A yellow card is issued by a referee to a player or team official who by word or action commits a minor breach of the Laws of the Game.
A red card is issued by a referee to a player or team official who by word or action commits a serious breach of the Laws of the Game.
It should be recognised that cautions (i.e. yellow cards) and send-offs (i.e. red cards) are primarily initiated as a consequence of player/team official behaviour.
As we look ahead to season 2023, we urge every player, team official and also every spectator to consider the manner in which they represent themselves, their club and the game.
Congratulations to the teams that are recognised as the Fair Play Award Winners in the respective senior leagues for 2022 based on these teams receiving the least yellow/red cards*:
(*) Teams in each league are ranked based on least cards to most cards (red cards then yellow cards)
