Football Far North Coast will be represented by two clubs this weekend when the Australia Cup proceeds to Round 6 of the National competition.
- Alstonville FC will host Newcastle Olympic FC at Crawford Park on Saturday afternoon (2:30pm KO);
- Bangalow SC has a long road trip to Newcastle to meet Broadmeadow Magic FC at Magic Park on Saturday (3pm KO).
The Australia Cup competition is a knock-out format that is open to all clubs across Australia. Almost eighty clubs across the seven zones in Northern NSW Football, have been part of the 778 teams across Australia that nominated in 2023, with the first games played in February. It is an outstanding achievement for a community club to reach this stage of the competition, that is against semi-professional NPL sides. The two teams that compete the preliminary rounds will join the Round of 32 stage when each A-League club joins in as the journey continues until the eventual winner of the Australia Cup is crowned in October 2023.
Best of luck to Alstonville FC and Bangalow SC this weekend!
