Fixtures Released

April 19th, 2024

The respective draw for each of the Senior Leagues and Junior Competitions (Ages 12-16) for the period including leading into and out of the June Long Weekend have now been published to the FFNC website and can be found here.

It is strongly suggested that a close scrutiny occurs for respective draws, as we highlight the need for some teams in various junior competitions, being scheduled to play more than one match on some weekends, or alternatively, being scheduled to play a mid-week match.

We make it known that variations to any draw, will not be made (after being published), unless there is a glaring error, or should circumstances (such as the impact of wet weather), prompt FFNC to review the schedule of fixtures. FFNC continues to work through a myriad of issues and constraints related to the construction of the draw and although every reasonable effort has been made to put the draws together in a logical way, it is not perfect and will not always satisfy every expectation.

It is VERY important at this time, to again highlight the chronic shortage of match officials, particularly ADULT referees. All clubs, (including players, team officials and spectators), should anticipate a high likelihood that a significant number of matches (at ALL levels), could require the respective HOME club, to have to arrange an appropriate referee (and AR’s where required). This situation is far from ideal, but this is an unfortunate reality and I continue to share a consistent message that MORE adults are needed to step forward and referee games.

We also highlight that the initial rounds of the MiniRoos draw is anticipated to be posted to the FFNC website early next week, in advance of MiniRoos commencing on Saturday 4th May.
