Football Far North Coast joins Stack Team App

January 18th, 2022

Football Far North Coast is pleased to announce that we have entered into an agreement with Stack Team App for season 2022.

Stack Team App is a platform specifically designed for sporting clubs and associations to improve communication between clubs and their participants, as well as from FFNC to clubs and the broad participant/supporter base.

It is acknowledged that a high amount of communication that is intended for participants broadly is sent primarily via email to clubs. Although this follows the “FFNC to club to participant” communication model, which appropriately recognises the role that clubs have in managing their members, participants and supporters, FFNC recognise that this can put more demands upon club volunteers to ensure that relevant communication is forwarded on. Further, in an age when social media and social apps are widely used by participants and allow communication to be received and viewed within seconds of being sent, it is not realistic to expect that emails are always the best method to engage with participants and supporters.

Our decision to introduce Stack Team App this season is based on an aim to assist club volunteers to share information broadly with their members, for matters such as club events, team information, general club communication, club news and more. The added advantage of using Stack Team App is that it will also allow FFNC to post information and resources within the app for the benefit of clubs and participants/supporters, with the option for those people to receive push notifications from the app on their smartphone, resulting in almost immediate delivery of communication to users.

In order to prepare for the introduction of Stack Team App next season, FFNC has created a Stack Team App for all FFNC clubs (noting a small number of clubs already have an existing Stack Team App). These have been linked to the FFNC “association” that is setup within Stack Team App, to allow a flow of information from FFNC to clubs (and participants). Whilst each clubs ‘app’ has been built on a consistent template, Stack Team App allows individual clubs to customise their app so that specific features can be used (or not used) based on club preferences (e.g chat functions, club player profiles, availabilities and more). FFNC will support clubs to customise their app if required.

A link to each respective club Stack Team App website can now be found on the ‘FFNC Clubs’ page on the FFNC website.  Alternatively, individuals can download the ‘Stack Team App’ app from the App Store or Google Play, and search for their ‘club name’.
