Grand Final Series Planning Underway

July 14th, 2021

Season 2021 is now into the second stage of the pointscore season and planning is well underway for the how the Finals Series fixtures and respective Grand Finals will be structured.

The scheduling of fixtures for the Grand Final series will again have to proceed without the access of either Oakes Oval and Crozier Field, Lismore, where development is in progress.

The Junior Grand Final series is expected to be played on one weekend (Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th September) with FFNC seeking to negotiate a suitable central single venue. The Senior Grand Final series will be scheduled over the following two weekends (11th/12th September and 18th/19th September), with various club venues identified as potential host venues. The identified clubs would host two grand finals at the respective venues.

A summary of the DRAFT senior Grand Final schedule (by date) can be found here.

The schedule of JUNIOR grand finals (for 4th and 5th September) will be determined in due course.

The fluid situation with covid continues to be monitored and we anticipate that the mandatory conditions imposed by NSW Health that require (1) Masks to be worn by every person aged over 12 years who is at community sport, other than participants when they are warming up pre-game, ON the field of play, in a Technical Area or otherwise a Match Official and (2) Covid-safe Check-in upon arrival at a venue, by use of the Service NSW App (that every organisation, including every sporting club MUST now have available accessible and enforced).

Any enquiries about the Finals Series or Grand Finals Series should be referred to your member club in the first instance.
