Junior Matildas Head Coach Rae Dower presents to coaches at Newcastle Permanent Coaching Masterclass

March 6th, 2020

Matildas Under 17’s national team Head Coach Rae Dower presented a very informative Newcastle Permanent Coaching Masterclass to attendees at Mullumbimby on Thursday evening (5th March).

The highly credentialed coach was in the region at the invitation of Mullumbimby Brunswick Valley FC as part of the upcoming rebel Female Football week celebrations; a national initiative which gives the football community the chance to celebrate the immense growth of the women’s game.

Northern NSW Football Female Participation Officer Holly-Lace Ayton was also here to support objectives to promote more opportunities to progress the participation of female football.

Football Far North Coast General Manager, Steve Mackney said, “Despite the female participation figures being above the national average (24%) within the region, and trending towards 30% of over 7000 registered players, there is much more to be done.”

Registrations remain open for season 2020 and we encourage everyone to JOIN OUR TEAM by finding a club at playfootball.com.au or accessing FFNC Club contacts here.
