Lismore Richmond Rovers FC has claimed the first piece of silverware for 2024, by claiming the Tursa Employment and Training Men’s Premier League Anzac Day Cup.
A big crowd witnessed an exciting match, that was decided in a nail-biting penalty shoot-out, after it was locked up 0-0 after 90 minutes of normal time and a further 20 minutes of extra-time. Amongst many impressive performances, Rovers goalie, Daniel Hamshaw was named Player of the Final.
The remaining five finals for the respective ANZAC Day Cup and Callan McMillan Memorial Shield competitions will be contested tonight, tomorrow and Sunday, to bring a conclusion to a successful series. as outlined below. We encourage supporters who attend any of the finals, to demonstrate respect towards match officials and to acknowledge the often difficult role that they have when officiating.
Football Far North Coast again thanks Tursa Employment & Training for their ongoing support of community football.
