Match Officials Awards Day

October 10th, 2017

The 2017 Match Officials Awards Day was held on Sunday at the Lismore Workers Sports Club in Goonellabah, to recognise the important contribution of match officials and to acknowledge their individual and collective achievements this season.

FNC Referees Life Members, special guests, match officials and their families enjoyed lunch, trivia and an afternoon of celebration and reflection of individual achievements.

We congratulate the award recipients and thank ALL match officials for their contribution in 2017.

Corey New Memorial Trophy – Rookie of the Year: Jamai O’Malley
Assistant Referee of the Year: Corey Boag
Alistair Watts Trophy – Most Improved Junior Referee: Jakira Toniello
Bob Beaumont Memorial Trophy – Most Improved Senior Referee: Blake Penhey
Joe Pisani Trophy – Most Consistent Referee: Michael Lucas
Commitment to Refereeing: Jackson & Joshua Yates
Female Referee of the Year: Maddison Smith
Glen Gibbs Trophy – FFNC Referee of the Year: Anthony Smith
