Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) is pleased to announce Mullumbimby Brunswick Valley FC, from Football Far North Coast as Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Winner for July 2019.
Mullumbimby Brunswick Valley FC was awarded as the winner of the Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Award due to its significant contribution to the local community through actively engaging in creating tangible participation opportunities for the community by promoting a club environment that is inclusive for everyone.
The club is applauded for their efforts in creating a progressive relationship with NNSWF to lead the local profile through female activities, particularly during rebel Female Football Week in 2018 and 2019, while also significantly increasing their registration numbers thanks to the forward-thinking evolution.
“Mullumbimby Brunswick Valley FC has made a significant and valuable contribution to the local community through its successful implementation of well-considered strategies to create a positive club culture,” NNSWF Senior Officer – Community Football Ross Hicks commented.
“The club has contributed a major investment to enhance facilities including female specific changeroom and have a clear desire to work collaboratively with Football Far North Coast through regular and open communication.
“We applaud the efforts of Mullumbimby Brunswick Valley FC Committee, coaches and players which demonstrate that community is integral to the club’s ethos,” Hicks concluded.
Newcastle Permanent Ballina Branch Manager, David Parker, echoed Hicks’ sentiments and is pleased a local Newcastle Football club has been rewarded for its efforts.
“Newcastle Permanent’s Community Football Awards recognise the important role clubs play in our local communities and it is great to see Mullumbimby Brunswick Valley FC reinforcing a culture of inclusiveness, discipline and respect, both on and off the field,” Parker said.
Mullumbimby Brunswick Valley FC will receive a $250 First Touch Football Supplies gift voucher thanks to Newcastle Permanent that will allow the club to purchase new equipment to continue its efforts in growing the game in the Region.
The Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Award recognises clubs for contribution to football on and off the playing field across areas including football experience, club activities, coach, volunteer management and special projects.
