With the football season not too far around the corner, Football Far North Coast has announced the details for our first New Referees Course in 2016. Below are all the details for the upcoming course;
Dates and times
Session One: Sunday 21st February 10am – approx. 5pm
Session Two: Monday 22nd February 6pm – approx. 9pm
Participants must attend both sessions.
Venue
Southern Cross Football Centre – Crawford Road, East Lismore
Cost & Inclusions
The cost of the course is $50 per person, to be paid on the day at the first session.
This cost covers a FIFA Laws of the Game book plus further teaching material, a whistle, a set of red & yellow cards, set of Assistant Referee flags and lunch on the Sunday session.
Eligibility
Participants should currently be 13 years of age or older OR turning 13 no later than 1st of May 2016 (noting that participants CANNOT be appointed on matches until they turn 13).
Requirements

2. BEFORE the first session ALL participants must complete the online Laws of the Game (OLTG) Certificate. This can be completed by clicking here.
Participants can register for the upcoming course first, but this certificate MUST be completed BEFORE attending the first session of the course. The time required to complete the OLTG Certificate will vary based on previous knowledge and experience. Participants should allow AT LEAST one hour to complete the certificate, however it may take up to two – three hours. All answers are provided within learning material in the OLTG certificate.
3. Participants should bring a pen/pencil and something to write notes in for both sessions of the course.
4. Participants are required to wear suitable clothing for the SUNDAY session as there will be some short practical activities (weather permitting).
