Jeff Wingfield Named Newcastle Permanent Volunteer of the Month

Northern NSW Football is pleased to announce Jeff Wingfield as Football Far North Coast’s Newcastle Permanent Volunteer of the Month for April 2016.

Jeff was nominated by Goonellabah Football Club for his ongoing commitment and dedication to football over 20 years of service.

“Jeff has shown true dedication to Goonellabah Football Club for a significant period of time and the Newcastle Permanent Volunteer of the Month Award is well deserved,” NNSWF Community Football Manager Peter Haynes commented.

“Jeff demonstrates the attributes of a model volunteer which have paid dividends with the clubs continued professionalism and growth,” Haynes concluded.

Newcastle Permanent Lismore Branch Lending Manager, Andrew Virtue, joined Club President, Kevin Franey and a gathering of players prior to Saturday’s Men’s Premier Division match to congratulate Jeff on becoming the recipient of the Newcastle Permanent Volunteer of the Month Award.

Virtue said, “Newcastle Permanent’s Community Football partnership provides opportunities to recognise volunteers who give back so much to their clubs and communities. It is great to see a local being recognised for their ongoing commitment,”.

Also recognised on Saturday was the contribution of Jeff’s wife Wendy, who has done so alot at the club and valued club supporter Gwenda Marshall was presented a bouquet of flowers for her years of support.

Jeff has received a volunteer jacket and bag courtesy of Newcastle Permanent to assist him in continuing to fulfil his valuable role at the club.
