NNSWF partner with Professor Philip Morgan to deliver Building Inclusive Club workshops

December 1st, 2021

Northern NSW Football will partner with Professor Philip Morgan to deliver a series of workshops to help clubs develop inclusivity within their organisations.

The Building Inclusive Clubs workshops are recommended for NNSWF affiliated Member Zones and their boards as well as clubs, with world renowned men’s health expert Professor Morgan to touch on his experience and the success of his Daughters and Dads Program.

The program focuses on the father-daughter relationship and its impact on the development of young girls.

The workshops will discuss how more inclusive clubs, experiences and communities can be created for women and girls.

There will be a strong focus on building awareness about the unconscious gender bias that exists in sport and the community more broadly, and how this poses unique challenges for women and girls.

Professor Morgan will also touch on language, pinkification and how thinking can be altered to aid in better decision making around participation in sport for women and girls.

NNSWF recommends clubs aim for two representatives to attend their relevant workshop.
