Today Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) announced the Women’s State Cup Official Fixtures Draw.
The NNSWF Women’s State Cup provides senior women’s teams from across Northern NSW, including the Herald Women’s Premier League (WPL) teams, to compete against each other in a sanctioned competition.
The draw includes 14 teams from throughout Northern NSW including six (6) Herald Women’s Premier League (WPL) teams, six (6) Community Zone teams and two (2) Herald WPL 20 years teams.
Teams have been allocated into four groups with Group A and B housing four (4) teams and Group C and D housing three (3) teams. All fixtures will take place at the state-of-the-art Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility, Speers Point.
Group Stage matches will commence from Friday 13th July with local based Clubs going head to head from 6:30pm.
The remaining Group Stage matches will be completed over the course of Saturday 14th July with games commencing from 9:00am & the action wrapping up by 6:30pm.
The Knock-Out Finals Series will take place on Sunday 15th July from 9:00am with the top two teams from each group playing off against each other in a three phase finals series (quarters, semis & final).
The remaining teams who do not qualify for finals series will play-off against the corresponding placing team from another group throughout the day.
The NNSWF Women’s State Cup Final will kick off at 4:00pm on Sunday afternoon.
