Northern NSW Football conducted its Australia Cup sixth and seventh preliminary round draws on Friday night.
The draw was broadcast live on NNSWF social media channels and hosted by Cooks Hill United midfielder Jacob Pepper.
Pepper made 149 appearances in the A-League Men’s competition with Newcastle Jets, Brisbane Roar and Western Sydney Wanderers.
Pepper drew his club Cooks Hill United or HIT106.9 Northern League One club New Lambton FC to play Coffs Coast Tigers FC in the sixth preliminary round.
Elsewhere, Coffs City United FC will host Broadmeadow Magic, Newcastle Olympic will take on Lake Macquarie City and Weston Workers FC will make the short trip to Maitland for the latest installment of El Clasicoal.
Round six fixtures are due to be played in the week ending 11 June. But with recent wet weather forcing a number of postponements in previous rounds, NNSWF General Manager Football Operations Liam Bentley said his team would work with clubs to ensure matches are played.
In the seventh preliminary round, Cooks Hill United, New Lambton FC or Coffs Coast Tigers FC will host the winners of Newcastle Olympic and Lake Macquarie City, while Maitland FC or Weston Workers FC will host Coffs United FC or Broadmeadow Magic.
The winners of the seventh preliminary round matches will be NNSWF’s two representatives that qualify for the national round of 32.
