Rachel Lowenstein has been announced as the Newcastle Permanent Football Far North Coast Volunteer of the month for August 2016.
Rachel was nominated for being a reliable contributor for Lismore Workers FC, in her first year as a committee member of the club. This season her official role was Senior Registrar, however she also helped out wherever she was required (i.e. junior registrar duties, submitting match sheets and entering results etc.).
Rachel began playing at 19 years of age with TEBFC. She then played with Bangalow, before finally playing with LWFC for three years (retiring due to injuries). In that time, she has had only six years where she hasn’t played.
Her husband plays with LWFC Men’s Division 7 and has played for year’s. She has three children, two of whom play Miniroos with LWFC and Rachel supports her family with the same enthusiasm that confirms her as a valuable community volunteer for so many.
Congratulations to Rachel Lowenstein!
