Football Far North Coast continues to work through a range of sensitive and complicated issues as plans are being formulated for season 2022 to commence.
The weekend of Friday 29th April, Saturday 30th April and Sunday 1st May, has been nominated for football (including MiniRoos, junior competitions and senior leagues) to commence.
We recognise that almost half the clubs may not yet be in a position to consider what players and teams will be ready to play and the assessment to proceed is very mindful of wanting to be respectful of the circumstances across the region. There are however expectations being made known to Football Far North Coast, that there is a strong desire for football to rebound, so every reasonable effort is being made to construct an appropriate way forward.
FFNC will communicate individually (as appropriate) in coming days, with each of the 24 member clubs. The purpose will be to gauge which clubs are in a position to nominate teams, to confirm readiness of fields (and facilities) and to work collaboratively to meet the many needs within the community.
The football community stands united during these difficult times for the community and we urge everyone to recognise that there are many thousands of people who need our collective positive thoughts and on-going support.
Enquiries from club delegates can be directed to Steve Mackney directly (mob: 0438 215 593).
Please look after each other.
