Excitement is building for the return of football in 2022 following the covid-induced lockdown that brought a premature end to football for everyone in 2021.
As is tradition, the season will kick-off with the much anticipated ANZAC Day Cup & Callan McMillan Memorial Shield competitions on February 25 & 27. Again supported by our strategic partner, Tursa Employment and Training, more than 50 teams are expected to nominate across the ANZAC Day Cup & Callan McMillan competitions.
It is anticipated that there will be four Men’s pre-season competitions, with the Men’s Premier League joined by Open A (Championship to League 2), Open B (League 3 to League 5) and Open C (League 6 & 7). A Grade 16 Mixed competition will also proceed if enough teams nominate.
For the Women’s pre-season competitions, it is anticipated that both the ‘A’ and ‘B’ Division’s will be contested in the Callan McMillan Memorial Shield, with a Girls Grade 16 competition to be played if enough teams nominate.
Clubs are asked to submit their respective team nominations to FFNC not later than 1pm Thursday 3rd February, so it important that players who may be interested in in the ANZAC Day Cup or Callan McMillan Memorial Shield competition contact their club with priority to communicate their interest.
Club Contact details can be found here.
