FFNC now formally advises that a 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 will proceed in 2025.
The same model as last season will apply (being a top 4), with semi-finals consisting of Team 1 v Team 4 and Team 2 v Team 3. The winner of each semi-final will contest the grand final in each competition.
The logic for this format is to provide more opportunity for more players to get more games, but with each competition still delivering a finals series. We need the weather to be favourable for the balance of the 2025 season, with no scope to extend the season beyond the weekend of 19/20/21 September, with several weekends of grand finals, beginning 5/6/7 September.
