Season Over

September 9th, 2021

The advice from NSW Government today that explicitly stipulates that “Community Sport is not able to recommence at this time”, regretfully means that the Football Far North Coast season has now concluded. This decision is now confirmed, consistent with information shared with Member Clubs following a zoom forum convened on Wednesday night 1st September, where it was made known that an extension of the lockdown beyond 10th September, or the imposition of conditions that would impede the recommencement/completion of the 2021 season, would prompt Football Far North Coast to call an end to the season.

FFNC will communicate further with member clubs and various stakeholders in due course.

We extend our sincere appreciation to everyone for the enthusiastic participation this year and we offer positive support to every individual and to every club volunteer, who again showed that the game will prevail regardless of what obstacles exist. A plan is already underway to see football return even bigger and better in 2022.

Stay Safe.
