Local Teams Ready for Big Westfield FFA Cup Games

May 12th, 2017

Eight regional teams representing all four Northern NSW Football country zones head to Coffs Harbour this weekend aiming to remain alive in the 2017 Westfield FFA Cup competition.

Northern NSW Football’s (NNSWF) Northern Conference Qualifying Rounds for Westfield FFA Cup will be held this weekend at the magnificent C.ex International Stadium, Coffs Harbour.

Four games will be played tomorrow, with the winners progressing to Sunday where regional semi-finals will be determined. The “round 5” fixtures will be drawn from these winners randomly from the “hat” on Saturday afternoon (13th May).

The two winning clubs from Sunday (Round 5) will progress to the NNSWF Westfield FFA Cup Final Series that is scheduled for Saturday 10th and Monday 12th June at the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility.

Football Far North Coast will be represented this weekend by Byron Bay FC and Bangalow SC. We wish the teams’ success tomorrow and hopefully and look forward to hearing soon that Football Far North Coast will be represented at the NNSWF quarter finals/semi-finals in June.

The schedule of fixtures tomorrow is as follows;

2pm games;
FIELD 1           Coffs Coast tigers FC v Macleay Valley Rangers FC
FIELD 2           Taree Wildcats FC v Coffs City United FC

4pm games;
FIELD 1           Demon Knights Fc v Byron Bay FC
FIELD 2           Bangalow SC v Oxley Vale FC

The Westfield FFA Cup provides PlayStation®4 NPL Northern NSW clubs and Northern NSW Club teams the opportunity to progress to the Round of 32 and the chance to play off against Preliminary Round, club-based winners from fellow states, as well as Hyundai A-League Clubs.
