Wet Weather UPDATE

May 16th, 2024

Season 2024 has seen record levels of participation across the region, however the unfortunate reality is that many of these players have not yet taken to the pitch as a result of the persistent rain that has resulted in most fields being CLOSED on each of the last two weekends.

Despite the slow start to the season,  FFNC continues to work through the rescheduling of postponed competition fixtures with the aim being to deliver all games for 2024. An ongoing assessment will be required with more information to be provided in due course. The Plan B for season 2024 would be a modified season/finals series, however we hope that this option will not be required.

Regretfully, most MiniRoos players (ages 5-11) continue to be disappointed with most games being cancelled in weeks 1 and 2. The conditions predicted for this weekend are again of concern. Football Far North Coast has extended the MiniRoos season to now include Saturday 31st August. As MiniRoos fixtures are not rescheduled, we encourage clubs/parents/coaches to support the various Club MiniRoos Gala Days to provide more participation opportunities for the kids.

We urge everybody to be patient and know that football activity will return at the earliest opportunity.
