Football Far North Coast is delighted to confirm that the Tursa Employment & Training ANZAC Cup and Callan McMillan Memorial Shield Finals in six divisions will be contested at Oakes Oval Lismore next week.

Despite the significant impact of the recent flood, Oakes Oval Lismore is ready for action. We wish to applaud the FANTASTIC work done by the Lismore City Council staff, whose efforts in recent weeks have been extraordinary. Despite many LCC staff working very long hours to assist the broader community needs, they have also worked tirelessly to retrieve various sporting venues to a state where play can again proceed.  We invite the community to join football and its efforts to restoring normality within the region.

Football Far North Coast has determined that our marquee event this year should be a celebration of community solidarity and as such there will be NIL entry cost imposed. To reflect a commitment to the member clubs that incurred devastating loss and damage, Football Far North Coast invites patrons to make a GOLD COIN donation upon entry to Oakes Oval. Further, in a wonderful gesture, Lismore Thistles Soccer Club has deferred their own opportunity to earn money from operating the canteen at the event, instead offering fellow club Lismore Workers FC (that incurred major loss and damage in the flood) the chance to recoup much needed funds that would also be an important revenue stream for Thistles. Well done to Thistles for this generous offer!!

We remind patrons (and players) that critical non-negotiable conditions of entry to Oakes Oval include (1) NO alcohol consumed or brought into the facility (2) NO glass containers and (3) NO smoking permitted.
