After months in the making, Football Federation Australia have launched the Women’s Football Development Guide.
The guide aims to help Australia’s 2,300 community clubs promote women’s football and nurture the next generation of female players.
The guide offers insights into how clubs can attract and retain females into four key areas; players, coaches, match officials and administrator.
Northern NSW Footballs Female Participation Officer Nyssa Suchanow welcomes the guide and believes that this will enhance the goal of attracting, engaging and retaining more females participating in the game at all levels.
“This guide offers all clubs the opportunity to gain valuable information and insights on Female Football. Within its pages lies valuable strategies and initiatives all clubs can implement to continue improving the experience of females within our wonderful game.”
“There are clubs out there doing great work in promoting Female Football already across Northern NSW. This guide will offer these clubs further strategies to build on the good work that they are already doing in this space as well as help retain their current players, coaches, and administrators,” Suchanow concluded.
Female Football is growing across Northern NSW Football with increases expected again in 2016 across all segments including, MiniRoos, Junior and Senior players.
Each Northern NSW Football club involved in the female game will receive a hard copy of the Womens Football Development Guide which will be sent out over the next week.
