June 20th, 2016

Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) is pleased to announce Lismore Richmond Rovers stalwart Jill Hepburn as Football Far North Coast’s (FFNC) Newcastle Permanent Volunteer of the Month for May 2016.

Jill was nominated by Lismore Richmond Rovers for her ongoing commitment and dedication to football.

Jessie White from the Newcastle Permanent Marketing team joined Lismore Branch Lending Manager Andrew Virtue and FFNC General Manager Steve Mackney to make a presentation last weekend to Jill at Rovers grounds.

Jessie White congratulated a very humble and emotional Jill Hepburn, saying, “It is people like Jill who are the heart and soul of community clubs. Newcastle Permanent is delighted to be able to recognise the generosity of people like Jill for their selfless efforts. This award is well deserved!”.

NNSWF Community Football Manager Peter Haynes echoed Jessie’s sentiments.

“Jill has shown true dedication to Lismore Richmond Rovers for a significant period of time and the Newcastle Permanent Volunteer of the Month Award is well deserved,” Haynes said.

“The passion and commitment that Jill demonstrates goes a long way to ensuring that Lismore Richmond Rovers  is a great place to play football and highlights how valuable she  is to the club” Haynes concluded.

As long term secretary of Lismore Richmond Rovers FC and also a Life Member of that club, Jill Hepburn remains committed to driving grassroots football and has seen hundreds of families engaged with local football over many decades. Like many volunteers, Jill devotes countless hours every season to ensuring that the participation experience for so many people is a positive one.

Jill was presented with a volunteer jacket and bag courtesy of Newcastle Permanent as a gesture of her to valuable role at the club and in supporting community football.
