The upcoming weekend (being 21/22/23 August) will see most of the Junior Competitions Semi-Finals (being Week 1 of junior semi-finals) played at various club venues.
A modified top-four Finals Series for each Junior Competition and Senior League will be played over two weeks as outlined below.Junior Competitions Semi-Finals Week One (21-22-23 August)
- Week 1:
- Match A (Semi-Final): 1 v 4
- Match B (Semi-Final): 2 v 3
- Week 2:
- Match C (Grand Final): Winner Match A v Winner Match B
The schedule of semi-finals to be contested this weekend can be found on the FFNC website or a summary is provided HERE.
Match Conditions that apply, include as follows;
Matches A and B (being semi-finals) : If the match is drawn at the end of normal time, there will be 10 minutes extra time each way (i.e. FULL twenty minutes must be played). There is NO golden goal.
If the match is still drawn after extra time:
For ages 12 – 14: the team that finished highest on the point score shall advance (there will NOT be a penalty shoot-out to determine the winner in ages 12, 13 or 14 matches).
A penalty shoot-out will proceed (if required) to determine the winner in Age 15 and Age 16 semi-finals.
Match(es) C (being Grand Finals): If the match is drawn at the end of normal time, there will be 10 minutes extra time each way (i.e. FULL twenty minutes must be played). There is NO golden goal.
If the Grand Final is still drawn after 20 minutes of extra time, JOINT Grand Final Winners will be declared in Ages 12-14*
(*) NOTE that a Penalty Shoot-out does NOT apply for Ages 12, 13 or 14.
A penalty shoot-out will proceed (if required) to determine the winner in (Ages 15 and 16)
