Football fun for many thousands of players will conclude for the year on Saturday 3rd September when more than 300 MiniRoos teams (players aged 5 to 11) lace on their boots for one final time in season 2022.
This year has been frustrating and challenging for everyone with the impact of the catastrophic floods seeing many games washed out. Kids are of course very resilient we hope that the kids have still been able to enjoy their football. Nearly 110 teams converged on Geoff Watt Oval Alstonville last Sunday for the annual club Gala Day. Well done to the volunteers at Villa, with much relief that there was a return to this event after Covid-19 prevented play during the last couple of years.
We highlight an opportunity for the GIRLS ONLY MiniRoos teams to celebrate Female Football at the Byron Bay FC Girls Only MiniRoos Gala Day this Sunday (14th August).
