Recognising the Contribution of Match Officials

Football Far North Coast match officials were recognised for their individual and collective achievements in season 2016 at a function convened at the Alstonville Plateau Bowls and Sports Club.

FNC Referees Life Members, special guests and families shared an afternoon to celebrate individual achievements, with many joining in with a social game of lawn bowls afterwards.

We congratulate all of the award recipients and thank ALL match officials for their contribution in 2016.

  • Corey New Memorial Trophy – Rookie of the Year: Benjamin Simmonds
  • Assistant Referee of the Year: Isaac Peachey
  • Alistair Watts Trophy – Most Improved Junior Referee: Samantha Lucas
  • Bob Beaumont Memorial Trophy – Most Improved Senior Referee: Connor Johnston
  • Joe Pisani Trophy – Most Consistent Referee: Mick Smith
  • Commitment to Refereeing: Brock Smith
  • Female Referee of the Year: Courtney Jameson
  • Glen Gibbs Trophy – FFNC Referee of the Year: Anthony Smith
  • Deen Mohammed Trophy – Referee’s Referee: Anthony Smith
